Trendy Dislikes
Those Balenciaga shoes. I do not understand why a fair few of the blogging community (and some fashion mags) have gone crazy over these. I like the colours individually, but when combined into something my brother could have made when aged about 9... ugh. It looks cheap and plastic and difficult to incorporate into an outfit.
Prada Cruise collection - another controversial choice!! It's too... old woman pretty for me, I'm afraid. I cannot see myself ever wearing a skirt like that (wouldn't work on my body shape) and I can imagine a lot of shops copying it badly.
Oversized embellishments - plastic "jewels" look cheap. And like plastic!!
Leopard print - just no.
Snoods - another thing I don't understand! It's just a hood!! And black ones look like the wearer is a widow (like off the Scottish Widows advert)And Guilty Pleasures...
Sequinned minidresses - reminds me of magician's assistants and/or drag queens, but I love them!!! They're so OTT!! Leading me on to...
Strictly Come Dancing - I never watch TV at uni, so coming back and having this program approaching the end with the better dancers is great. And I'm hooked!! I love the outifts, the dances (I used to dance a bit, must take it up again!).
How To Look Good Naked - Gok Wan is an OTT gay. Love it!! There is no way that boy used to be 21 stone??
And my last (very) guilty pleasure is fur. Don't shoot me!! I don't own any! I know it's bad... but vintage fur? That you inherit from an elderly relative? That'd be ok, right? I'm not a huge fan of animals (much prefer people. Am waiting to be outcast from everywhere), so I don't quite have the morals. If I cared more about animals then I would be a vegetarian. End of.OK and with that, I ask you... what are your Trendy Dislikes/Guilty Pleasures?

Those Balenciaga shoes look like they're made of Legos. I never liked any kind of animal print either.
Ok, I didn't know snoods were in but the picture of that dog is going to make me laugh for weeks.
I agree with disliking over-sized plastic jewels. They do look really fake. I like the Balenciaga shoes though--not to wear, but because they do look like legos. They seem fun.
Yes, cheapie jewels on clothes is awful. I also really dislike the midi length skirts that magazines try to convince us thats its in fashion..
I completely agree about the shoes, quilting, plastic "jewels" and leopard print. Especially leopard print. Unless you are really really really really young (i.e. about five) it usually looks nasty! That said, some people can wear it really, really well, but they are rare :(
